Undip Geological Engineering students never stop making achievements in the academic field. On this occasion, an achievement was made by a team consisting of three 2020 Class students, namely Muhammad Rizki Maulana, Iqmal Hedimasalit, and Rosella Salma as well as one member Nadya Rustanti from Industrial Chemical Engineering Engineering. In the IPFEST 2023 competition, the team competed with other students from all over Indonesia in the “Geothermal Development Plan Competition”. This activity was organized by the Bandung Institute of Technology with a committee from the student chapter of professional organizations in the petroleum field such as IATMI and SPE.
The IPFEST 2023 Geothermal Development Plan Competition is a competition to solve problems by developing the best solutions in accordance with the geothermal related cases given, by reviewing several aspects such as technical and non-technical (geology, geophysics, reservoirs, economics, and environment). The series of activities started with case studies in December 2022. The Undip Geological Engineering delegation team qualified for the final round in January 2023 then presented their work on February 24, 2023.
After being assessed by competent judges in their fields, both academics and professionals, Rizki et al. were declared 3rd Place or 2nd Runner Up. The announcement of the competition was held on Awarding Night on 25 February 2023, where all the winning teams from various fields side by side and interacted with each other. This achievement proves that Undip Geological Engineering students have a competitive spirit and are able to compete in national events with other universities. Hopefully this achievement can encourage other students to always be enthusiastic in learning knowledge and gaining skill.
Bravo Geology!
