Transfer Knowledge: Geothermal Goes to Campus is an activity carried out by the Directorate of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) as an effort to facilitate education in the field of geothermal energy. The activity was held on Tuesday (26/10/2021) at the Department of Geological Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Diponegoro, which was attended by lecturers and students. The main target is students from the Department of Geological Engineering, which is most related to the theme of the activity.

This activity was opened with remarks from the Director of Geothermal, Mr. Harris Yahya, ST, MT. He conveyed the current status of geothermal utilization in Indonesia and the targets to be achieved in the future. The material session was delivered by Mr. Sabda Indrakusuma Nugroho (PT. Pertamina Geothermal Energy) with the topic “Management and Monitoring of Geothermal Fields”. Moderated by Dr. Agus Setyawan, S.Si., M.Sc., the presentation was followed by an interesting discussion about the importance of geothermal reservoir management so that a geothermal field can be utilized optimally.

The implementation of this activity is expected to be able to broaden students’ insights and generate interest in the field of geothermal energy development in Indonesia.
