In commemoration of the Jambi University Geological Engineering Anniversary, HMTG Mengkarang held various national level competitions to enliven the series of events. One of the competitions held was the GEOPOSTER COMPETITION which was attended by various universities in Indonesia. Of the many teams that registered, two Undip Geological Engineering delegation teams, namely the Berylimite team (consisting of Juliana Ma’rifah, Salsabila Nadhifa Rosyida, and Puspo Anggraeny Putri Soputan) and the Macaca team (consisting of Natasya Kris Angelita and Boy Marluga Silitonga) made it to the top five to present their posters in person at Jambi University on February 13, 2023.
The competition on February 13 began with a National Seminar which presented the theme “Transition of Renewable Energy in Sustainable Development” by three speakers in their respective fields, namely Jumran Saing S.T., Dr. Novi Muharam S.T, M.T., and Riko Ardiansyah S.T, M.T. The poster presentation activity as the highlight of the competition was held at 14.00 WIB in the afternoon. Each team will receive a presentation number with a maximum presentation time of 15 minutes, followed by a question-and-answer session by the jury with each judge asking one question.
The discussion on the poster brought by the two teams from the Diponegoro University delegation took the sub-theme of Hydrogeology which was aligned with the main theme of “Renewable Energy Transition in Sustainable Development”. The Berylimite team presented the title “Analysis of Groundwater Quality in the Semarang Area Using the Hydrogeological Mapping Method as a Step in Sustainable Development”. The Macaca team presented the title “Hydrogeological Study and Analysis of Groundwater Quality to Support Clean and Renewable Energy in Banyuwangi, Central Java”.
With quite a long competition stage, in the end the two Diponegoro University delegation teams won the title, namely the 1st place won by the Berylimite team and the 2nd place won by the Macaca team. Congratulations on the achievements of the Undip Geological Engineering Department students, hope this will be a motivation for all other students.
