Monday, August 5 2024 – Dr. Dian Agus Widiarso, S.T., M.T. and Yoga Aribowo, S.T., M.T. officially inaugurated by the Rector of Undip, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Sc. as chairman and secretary of the Department of Geological Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University. The inauguration took place in the SA-MWA Building Hall, Undip Tembalang Campus at the same time as the inauguration of other officials and the appointment of non-ASN PU. The activity was attended by the Academic Senate, Board of Trustees, Vice Rector, Faculty Deans, and other invited guests.
Before being appointed, Dr. Dian Agus Widiarso has served as department secretary since 2022 and continues to be Acting Head of Department in February – July 2024 so he has experience in managing the department. Meanwhile, Mr Yoga Aribowo, as the new department secretary for this period, was previously active in curriculum development, research and collaboration, as well as laboratory management in the department during his career as an academic community member at Undip. The officials appointed are the best and selected people through a selection process and have the same goal of realizing the vision and mission of the Department of Geological Engineering.
The transition to new management was welcomed by the entire Undip Geological Engineering family. It is hoped that the new management can improve services to students, accommodate input, find solutions to problems, and turn the department into an institution that contributes to the wider community.
