The “Garnet” podcast or geology news via the internet is a creative media work unit originating from the Department of Geological Engineering, Diponegoro University. This work unit itself is engaged in the field of public services that presents the latest and up-to-date information directly from the sources, especially in the field of geology and campus life. This work unit itself was formed in May 2021 where this team was initiated and also guided by one of the lecturers from the Geological Engineering Department, Dr.rer.nat. Thomas Triadi Putranto, S.T., M.Eng. This work unit itself has the aim of disseminating information for educational needs for both students and the general public so that it is more easily absorbed and understood. The presentation is presented using the concept of “casual but serious chat” along with resource persons who are experts and professionals in their fields. It is hoped that the interesting content that is presented can become a source of information and a forum for discussion among the geological community, both academically and professionally.
