Cooperation Agreement in the Field of Environmental Geology between the Faculty of Engineering and PATGL – Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources

Semarang – On September 4, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Diponegoro signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with the Center for Groundwater and Environmental Geology (PATGL) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources regarding Service Investigation and Competency Development in the Field of Groundwater, Engineering Geology, and Environmental Geology.

This signing was carried out at the Faculty of Engineering Dean’s Building in the Senate Meeting Room on the 3rd Floor. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University, Prof. Dr. Jamari, S.T., M.T., IPU accompanied by the Head of the Department of Geological Engineering Dr. Dian Agus Widiarso, S.T., M.T. and representative lecturer Najib, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D as the PIC of the activity. As a representative of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Ir. Ediar Usman, M.T. as the Head of PATGL along with his staff who came to Semarang from Bandung.

The Cooperation Agreement between the Faculty of Engineering and PATGL is intended to create synergy in the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education (research, teaching, and community service) and the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. In this case, PATGL is committed to providing and assisting in the implementation of MBKM, helping to provide internship opportunities, final assignments, research and community service, and providing data and information needed for the next 3 years. On the other hand, the Faculty of Engineering is committed to providing human resources and support for the implementation of the agreement, providing data and information, and competency development facilities in the form of training seminars and conferences.

In the event, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering expressed his appreciation for the cooperation that will last until 2027 and fully supports the implementation of the PKS. On the other hand, PATGL expressed gratitude for the acceptance of the event and is committed to continuing to support academic activities at the Faculty of Engineering especially in the Department of Geological Engineering.
